The new model is expected to arrive in June this year, just like the 2018 i20. Once it goes on sale, you will have a chance to buy this vehicle for a relatively small price.
Even though it hasn’t been announced yet, the price of the new car should be slightly more compared to its predecessor. The previous model was rated at £12,500, so we can expect a slight increase.
A bunch of new features will be offered in the reworked i20, and the old ones will be advanced. For instance, connectivity features have been improved and the driver will use the smartphone more easily which will increase comfort while driving. Hyundai has installed a new seven-inch Display Audi on S and SE trim as a standard feature and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported. This allows passengers to use the navigation from the smartphone, so the built-in car navigation is not that necessary.
As for the engine, the 2019 Hyundai i20 will come with two petrol powertrains. The first one is The Kappa 1.0-liter T-GDI unit which produces 100 PS and 120 PS. The second engine Hyundai offers also comes with two different outputs. It is the Kappa 1.2-liter powerplant, and both versions come with a five-speed manual, but the first one delivers 75 PS while the second one 84 PS.
