Are you looking for a new car which is going to satisfy your needs? Perhaps, you should search among Infiniti models. One vehicle stands out, and it is the 2019 Infiniti QX50. It brings a beautiful look as well as some innovative features, and every person who sits behind the wheel of this car will fall in love with it immediately.
As we have already said, the 2019 Infiniti QX50 is a fantastic looking vehicle, and many people will be attracted just to the exterior and the interior of the car. But this model is a lot more than just appearance. It comes with a wide range of safety equipment, and the engine is quite remarkable.
Infiniti finally managed to solve fuel efficiency problems with innovations under the hood. Top trims are worth of their price which is not too steep for the luxury crossover. Before we go into the in-depth analysis of the car, we have to mention some of its drawbacks as well.
First of all, the dual-screen infotainment system could have been better, and it might take you some time to get used to it. Also, Infiniti doesn’t offer options for all trim levels, and the top trims have the most optional features, while the bottom ones are deprived of them. Other than that, the new Infiniti is just outstanding, as you are about to see.
2019 Infiniti QX50 Specs
We are not sure what is more impressive about this vehicle. Is it the cool exterior, comfortable and elegant cabin or what is located underneath the skin? The 2019 Infiniti QX50 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine which is a much better feat for this car than the V6 engine that it replaces.
The way it operates has changed thanks to the company’s engineers drastically, and now this engine provides more power and consumes less fuel. Thanks to this powerplant, the new Infiniti remained as quick as it used to be, but fuel efficiency has improved by 30%, which is an amazing result.
According to the company, the engine delivers 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The ongoing model delivers 325 hp, and 267 lb-ft of torque, courtesy of the V6 and the drivers, will definitely feel the difference behind the wheel.
Even though it produces less power than its predecessor, most of the buyers will gladly accept this reduction for the sake of improved fuel efficiency. During the tests, the new model showed sharp throttle response, which means that it will take some time for the buyers to get used to the car.
The engine is connected to the CVT which is standard for all models. Finally, Infiniti replaced the 7-speed that has been used so far and now you have the option to put the transmission in “Sport” mode if you want it to hold ratios for longer.
Meanwhile, the steering feels natural, and the vehicle behaves well on the road, absorbing the bumps and imperfections with ease. However, when you are in the corners, the car tends to lean and roll slightly, but you will not feel the lack of power.
We have praised the fuel economy of the new engine. It is not enough to look at numbers only and see the massive improvement. According to EPA, the new QX50 is rated at 24 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway, which results in 26 mpg combined. The outgoing model was rated at 20 mpg combined. And the EPA estimates show that 30% improvement over that vehicle.
We have to point out that the new QX50 has the new innovative powertrain which completely transformed the car. If you want to improve the fuel efficiency, even more, all you have to do is select the FWD version of the car which is rated at 24 mpg city, 31 mpg highway and 27 mpg combined
The scores for the safety of the car have not been announced yet for a simple reason – the car has yet to be tested. However, that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t address the safety of the vehicle. We will be quick and mention the features which are responsible for avoiding crashes. The 2019 Infiniti QX50 comes with a forward collision warning and emergency braking which are standard on all trims.
As you go up the ladder, you add technology such as blind-spot monitors, but there are two separate packages with advanced safety features which are available only for the buyers who opt for the Essential trim level. We are confident that the new model will fare well with all those goodies inside the car.
The interior of the Infiniti QX50 is all about elegance. The entire cabin looks fantastic, and the stitches on the dashboard and comfortable seats are definitely the best parts of it. In top trims, Infiniti offered diamond-stitched, natural leather and suede inserts for those going for an even more upscale feel. Classy touches are all over the cabin, and if you think that the exterior looks fantastic, you should step inside.
Of course, no vehicle is perfect, and while the dual-screen infotainment fits the elegant appearance, there is black plastic by the gear selector which makes it look awkward. But this is just a small detail which can be overlooked.
Meanwhile, the front seats are comfortable, and they provide excellent back support. Furthermore, they can be adjusted, and all models in the lineup offer power adjustment for the front seats. If you want to improve comfort, even more, select one of the QX50 upper trims which come with heated and cooled chairs with memory settings.
Meanwhile, the rear seats provide enough room for the passengers in the back. But they are not as comfortable as the front bench. The best way to describe them would be that they are satisfactory. With the rear bench untouched, the space in the trunk is 31.4 cubic feet. But if you drop them down, the room increases to 64.4 cubic feet!
You can find a lot of elements from the other Infiniti vehicles blended together on the 2019 Infiniti QX50. For instance, there is a double-arch grille, bulging hood, and rear roof pillar kink, which all make this luxury crossover look outstanding. Everything is combined perfectly.
The new model will be offered in three trims – Pure, Luxe and Essential. The differences between the trims are not that visible outside, and they are mostly focused on technology.
2019 Infiniti QX50 Price
The base model starts at $36,550. The price increases as you add optional features or go up the trim ladder. Of course, the best offering is the range-topping model which costs $44,345. But you can drastically increase its price by adding some cool technology. In its core, the Essential trim level comes with leather seats, a motion-activated liftgate, a surround-view camera system, remote start, and navigation.
Reaching $50k is easy enough. All you have to do is install features such as Bose premium audio, Infiniti’s package of active safety systems or upgraded materials. Fully equipped the top-shelf QX50 costs almost $60,000
You can order the new Infiniti by the end of May, while the vehicle goes on sale later in the spring! You must be excited about this model hitting the market. Because we cannot wait to see the new car on the roads!
