The history of the Range Rover is a long one with several turning points. With the introduction of the SV Coupe, Land Rover’s model will go through another significant change. 2019 Land Rover Range Rover SV
2019 Land Rover Range Rover SV Review
The first Range Rover was introduced in 1970, and the company that launched this model was British Leyland. Initially, the Ranger Rover was available as a two-door car, and the four-door version appeared on the market 11 years after the launch.
Currently, the Range Rover is in its fourth generation, and the new model called the SV Coupe would bring the model back to its two-door roots. Land Rover joined forces with Special Vehicle Operations to create the magnificent SV Coupe you can see below!
Engine and Specs
Not only does the two-door car look good, but it is also powerful. The 2019 Land Rover Range Rover SV Coupe will boast a supercharged all-aluminum 5.0-liter V8 that delivers 557 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. This is the same engine that powers the Range Rover SVAutobiography which means that it will probably be connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
|2019 Land Rover Range Rover SV Coupe||Short Specs|
|Engine||Supercharged All-Aluminum V-8|
|Top Speed||165 Mph|
Even though the car is massive, you will be able to sprint to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds and force glue the needle to a 165 mph mark on the speedometer.
We have to start by pointing out the obvious – the Range Rover SV Coupe comes with the two-door body style, and a set of extended doors graces the new model as they reach back towards the car’s rear end. The automaker said: “The signature floating roof, continuous waist, and tapering tail are instantly recognizable Range Rover DNA, yet are expressed in a unique way for this exclusive addition to the Range Rover family.”
Some of the most important features are power-closing doors, frameless glass for the windows and a top panoramic roof. The unique side vents, as well as the massive 23-inch wheels, are located on the list of options and as a buyer, you have a chance to choose among more than 100 paint colors for the body panels.
We are not surprised to learn that the cabin of the SV Coupe is upscale. Since there are only two doors to this car, only four passengers can sit in the new Range Rover. However, they will be more comfortable than ever. There are a bunch of storage compartments inside the car, climate control and infotainment controls scattered all over the cabin.
Speaking of infotainment, we expect something similar to the unit featured in the Range Rover Velar with features such as a Touch Pro Duo platform with two 10-inch screens. Equipment such as remote start, remote door lock and navigation will be standard.
Luxurious details are found all over the cabin, and the passengers will have enough room to sit comfortably. Just to get a better understanding of what the carmaker intended to do with the new SV Coupe read the following sentence: “[We aim for] accommodation comparable to private jets and yachts.”
Some of the materials used include semi-aniline leather, which covers the seats. But there is also an authentic gradated diamond quilting which looks suitable for a car such as this one. Last but not least, the owners will have multiple personalization options. And they will be able to modify the cabin according to their own liking.
Land Rover plans to produce 999 units of the new Range Rover SV Coupe. As this car will mark the carmaker’s 70th anniversary. The brand confirms: “Each SV Coupe will be hand-assembled to the client’s personal specification by the fastidious experts at the SVO Technical Center in the U.K. – a first for Range Rover.”
Having read that, you can assume that the price of the new car is quite steep. And you are not wrong. The Land Rover Range Rover SV Coupe will cost £240,000 which is approximately $335,390.
