Porsche decided to offer both the Panamera and the Panamera Sports Turismo with a GTS badge. This is not the first time these two cars are receiving a special treatment since their second generations got the GTS badge as well and they proved to be a success. What can we expect from the 2019 Porsche Panamera GTS?
The side skirts and the faux skid plates are slightly different on the GTS model compared to the regular model and the rear end will get the black treatment, meaning that it will be sportier. Also, GTS branding can be found all over the car, whereas the 20-inch wheels are a standard feature. Since it is more aggressive, the GTS will be 10 mm closer to the ground and it will be equipped with larger brakes.
Interior – 2019 Porsche Panamera
The cabin will not be different from the one of the regular Panamera. However, the 2019 Porsche Panamera GTS will have the GTS branding all around the interior space, as expected. The most important features are the digital cockpit and a new heads-up display. The new car can be customized with contrast colors for the stitching and the GTS logos as well. 2022 Lexus LFA Successor – is here…
Engine and Specs
This is where the regular Panamera cannot come close to the GTS. The new model will be slotted between the base trim and the range-topping Turbo and this time it packs a 4.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 453 horses and 457 lb-ft of torque!
To make the most out of it, Porsche paired it with an eight-speed PDK automatic transmission. Having said that, the Panamera GTS can reach 62 mph in 3.9 seconds, which is remarkable. The Sports Turismo model cannot exceed 180 mph whereas the saloon GTS has the top speed of 182 mph. Several options are included such as a Sport Chrono package, the Sport Design package and sport exhaust system.
Release Date and Price
The 2019 Porsche Panamera will hit the market in the second half of 2019. The starting price of the GTS will be $128,300 while the Gran Turismo is $6,200 more expensive. Once it goes out, the new vehicle will fight against the Mercedes-AMG GT and Maserati Quattroporte GTS.
